Mackey Mechanical was established in 1992, offering professional installation, service and maintenance of heating, ventilation and
air conditioning (HVAC) systems for residential and commercial customers. The company is an authorized Lennox dealer, but performs work on virtually all systems. The business is strategically located in the rapidly growing market of the Greater Houston area.
Additionally, operations include a fabrication shop for mechanical work, sheet metal parts and custom built components. The company has 13 employees who will remain with the company. The business owners, Diane and Mike Mackey Sr., will transition out of the business over several months. Mike Mackey Jr. will remain with the company.
The Cool Group LLC saw Mackey Mechanical Services as a company with a long history and excellent reputation that could serve as a platform to grow in the HVAC industry.
IBEX had the sole and exclusive right to market and assist in selling the business. The team of Mike Miller and Jeffrey Elder served as advisors throughout the acquisition process coordinating buyer/seller communications and providing due diligence guidance.
